Chantell Roy is a Freelance Professional Makeup Artist. At age 11 she organised and ran a Face Painting stall at her school in Nairobi, Kenya. Years later she moved back to England; and after studying Art and Design and doing an Art Foundation course, she trained in TV/Film Makeup, Special Effects, Hairstyling, Prostiche, and Wigmaking.

She spent the first few years doing Makeovers including Bridal as well as more Face Painting. It was the desire to work in the Film industry and on Productions that led to doing Theatre and Short Films. Within a few short months she worked on her first full length feature ‘Night Dragon’ starring actor Alan Ford- aka ‘Bricktop’ from Snatch, and by the end of the year she managed and led a team of Artists in the feature ‘Carmen’s Kiss’ with several recognised actors including Hugo Speer (The Full Monty), Vivienne Harvey (Nine Lives), Martin Kove (The Karate Kid) and Bruce Payne (Highlander: Endgame).

Chantell continues to learn new skills such as Barbering with Makeup Artist Carol Greenfield and Lifecasting with established artist Neill Gorton. From Film and Television, to Weddings and Makeovers, she has worked with various Artists, Actors, Celebrities, Models and Brides. Her work also includes Makeup Design, Photographic, Theatrical, Advertising, Music Videos and Editorial.
