Kat is a freelance Make up Artist and Hair stylist and enjoys working in all areas of make up within the profession. She has a passion for her job and enjoys every new experience enormously.
Kat had a creative background based in Art and Design, and studied these subjects throughout her education. At the same time she continuously had an interest in special effects make up. She was constantly fascinated with how make up could completely transform someone for the screen. It was these combined interests that lead her from an art foundation degree to train as a make up artist.
Having graduated in June 2007 she has since worked constantly on a wide range of projects around the country and has a particular interest in period productions and special effects. One of her recent projects involved her designing and carrying out 1940s style hair and make-up for a film noir inspired short film. She especially enjoyed this project as she found it fascinating to research the era and then to achieve an authentic look.
Based in the south west of England, Kat enjoys travelling to different parts of the county for new projects and is excited by the experiences each place can bring. She hopes to continue travelling round the country for work, and would love to work around the world in years to come.
In the future Kat wishes to further her experience in all areas of make up and is continually looking for new and interesting work. Kat is particularly interested in working in theatre and TV, and to further her knowledge of special effects. She is excited about what the future will bring and the new challenges she will face!
