Lourenco graduated from Warwick University in 2008, having done a Film Studies course. In that time, he sought to work in the film industry to develop a technical and practical knowledge that his theory-based course didn't offer, knowledge which he then used in producing several student films, one of which, titled Peace and Quiet, was nominated for an award in the Warwick Shootout Festival in June 2008.
Speaking both English and Portguese, he has already had the chance to work both in the UK and in Brazil and hopes to continue to do so in the future, building a rich cultural body of work and experiences in both countries. Dedicating as much time to studying as he does to working in film, he intends to learn much more about the art of cinematography and to put this into practice in films in all its forms.

Having played in a band before and also as DJ, he has a fervent interest in music performance and composition. He has composed music for film before and hopes to pursue that area in his own time, perhaps one day finding the time to write a film musical of his own. Perhaps.....
