With Fine Art as a starting point, Vijay has always been fascinated by the power of the image. However it was not until the second year of university while being a stills photographer on a short film that he fell in love with the film making process.
Having landed the position of Assistant Director after only one project out of university, he has always been attracted to the administrative and creative aspect of ADing. From this Vijay strives to continue to work on projects the possess the creativity and informative strength that film can have on its audience.
Special projects in the last year have included “AMOC”, a psychological thriller set in modern day London and “Hacket Hill”, a comedy pilot set in medieval times, with a twist of Fantasy, filmed in a studio converted from a farm barn in Limoges, France.
Being raised in an Indian family, Vijay grew up learning about great myths and fables of the Hindu religion, developing his passion for storytelling, something that he still stays in touch with to this day. Future projects will involve cultural themes in an attempt to continue his love of charity and cultural. This included an ambitious documentary that will follow the journey of 16 individuals who are raising money for schools and communities in India by trekking up one of the highest peaks of the Himalayan Mountain in the Ladakh region of North India.
